Brett Favre: Passes First Concussion Test, Will Favre Start Against Lions?
Jim McIsaac/Getty Images Brett Favre has passed his first round of neurological tests needed to be cleared from a concussion he suffered on December 20. However, his status for today's game against the Detroit Lions remains the same, doubtful.
According to a New Year's day report from ESPN, Vikings interim head coach Leslie Frazier confirmed that Favre passed his preliminary tests.
But Frazier also told ESPN that "it's going to be tough" for Favre to be ready for the game.
The 20-year-veteran's NFL career could perhaps end on the sidelines.
This is Brett Favre we're talking about here. This is the same guy that's battled through several injuries over the course of his NFL career to rack up 297 consecutive starts.
He's gone through hellish injuries and media scrutiny to still come and play a majority of his "final" season's games.
Favre, can't be ruled out of today's game.
So don't be surprised to see him in action. The biggest surprise that could come out today is if we don't see him suit up and take any snaps.
Going away without throwing the football in his last NFL game is just not the way many of us figured his potential last season would go down.
