Tinyd Crystal

The awards manufacturing industry has changed from giving the traditional wood plaque with an engraved brass plate as the standard for corporate awards or recognition. The use of plaques has given way to awards with more pizzazz, and the use of crystal and acrylics have greatly influenced this trend. Crystal Awards have evolved from the usual and customary engraved bowl or platter to an ever expanding selection of shapes and sizes from which to choose. The use of Acrylics and Lucite, while a newer art form, has exploded, not only because of the reasonable cost, but also because it also offers a tremendous variety of awards from which to choose. Now, with advances in technology and chemical science, manufacturers are able to add color to these materials, thereby enhancing their perceived value with this striking improvement. Although Acrylic Awards have great value in the awards industry, the remainder of this article will be devoted to a few of the crystal Corporate Awards that are available completely or partially colored.

Colored Crystal

Crystal Clocks: What better way to reward someone than with a quality clock set in a striking variety of base shapes accented with color. In the Crown Awards site, there are eight different shapes and sizes, at least five of which are shown having some color. The Everlasting Ruby Crystal and Dome Sapphire Crystal colors and designs are the most striking to me.

Columbia Artistic Crystal: This is really a beautifully tinted crystal award. It’s a cone shaped frosted crystal with four clear “windows” to view suspended blue and black swirls in the cone’s interior. The cone is adhered to a clear crystal base that can be etched. This award is a fine example of what is being done with color, and how far the colorizing technology has progressed.

Viper Artistic Crystals: This design is really creative! It is aptly named because of the award’s serpentine shape and black and gold coloring. This is one colored Crystal Award that’s sure to draw attention. It’s hand crafted too, so no two of these are exactly alike. A really unique award!

Crystal Ice Torch Award: If you really want to honor or recognize outstanding or superior achievement, this award will fill the bill. It stands almost a foot tall, and the crystal flames are regal blue sitting on a clear crystal pedestal and base. A smaller version of this is available also. It has the blue flames mounted on a black crystal base without the elongated pedestal. Recognition of leadership or goalsreached are what these two awards beautifully represent.

Economy Crystal Awards: Colored crystal awards, although appearing expensive, are often really not. There is a less expensive line that features crystal awards in many sizes and shapes using the blue Sapphire color. Depending on the quantity ordered, this type award can be produced often for under $20.
