Rewarding effort, not just results: also, new goal

Does anybody eslse blog 4 times in a day??? I must be in a mood.

So, I looked at my gifts, and my spark points....I was thinking, renewing my gym membership would be nice...or a nice rose...or a fruit basket...and the luxery things, you can afford with enough effort on sparkpeople. These gifts give your brain a spark, make you happier. But some of these things would also be handy to have as rewards in real life. So, I'm going to reward myself. Each thing that earns you sparkpoints, encourages you to be healthier. I'm going to reward my effort toward health.

I'm working now. So, I shouldn't feel bad about setting aside money (after bills) for me. And what's more, I'd be earning that money twice, by working and working out. I have 3 savings acounts, one for my household, though only my name is on it, and two I was going to shut down. But now, I have found a good use for them. For every spark point I earn, I'm going to put 25 cents into one savings account. For every fitness minute, I'll put a dime into the second savings account. Even if I platue, I'll be able to look at my results grow. And this way, I'll have plenty of money for that new wardrobe I want when I hit my goal weight! I'll have money for my reward system.

Now, on to the goals.
My goals for the week are as follows: drink 80 oz of water a day. Track and stay in target of my dietary needs. Do a cardio 30 minutes day. Blog once a day. I've had those 4 goals for a while, and I'm going to fulfill them diligiantly for a week. But the one I'm adding is do an additional exercise a day: 30 minutes of yoga, minimum, up to 60 minutes. That will stretch my sore muscles, wake me up in the morning, calm me at night, give me a chance to reflect and meditate. I have a DVD of Morning and Evening Yoga, each a 30 minute segment. It might help me get back into my groove. Out of my funk. It's definatly worth a try.
